Don’t Ignore This Classic Sign Of Bigger Problems Ahead
Running off at the typewriter!
Â
Several weeks ago, I was on FOX NEWS CHANNEL’s “Bulls and Bears.” One of Scott
Bleier’s stocks he liked was Idacorp. I said I liked it also for one simple
reason. I stated that Ida was the name of my grandmother. Actually, Ida was my
grandmother-in-law. Ida passed away last week at the age of 89. She was not a
celebrity. She was just a great mother, grandmother and great great
grandmother. My whole family is going to miss her.

I am bringing this up because I am going through changes. No…not those. I am
talking about the feelings you have as you grow older. My son Aaron is now 13
years old. I was told many years ago to enjoy your child’s early years because
they go quick. I didn’t believe it. Now I do. He already has a semi-mustache
and his arms are as big as mine. I see him growing up so quickly and realizing
that if he is growing up, I am getting older and older. Before I know it,
Aaron will be driving…ouch!

All these things hit you as:
Â
You go to see your favorite concert and all the members of the band look like
they are old enough to be wearing “depends.” I will not mention which concert.

Â
You start realizing a lot of your sentences start with the word “nowadays.”
Â
You start thinking about what a prostate is.
Â
You start hearing the line:”44 is still young.”
Â
I guess this is all about life. We all go through it. I just wish I
listened to some of the great advice about cherishing every day. Actaully, in
order to make my days longer, I am waking up an hour earlier each day. Does
that make any sense?

Oh yeah…the market. Who cares? Â It sucks anyhow. More of the ridiculous
nauseating trading range that started in late January. I will have a larger
report on Tuesday but did want to say a couple of things. It still feels like
the late innings. Fewer and fewer stocks are working. This whittling down of
leadership is a classic sign of bigger problems ahead. As I have told you,
even if the market did break out to the upside, it would occur with less and
less stocks lifting the weight…not a good thing. I hope I am wrong but 2005.
As of this second, it does not look to be thrilling. Â
