Dow Closes In The Red For 2005



Stocks fell on this last trading day of 2005, with the
Dow posting its first yearly loss since 2002, off 0.5%.
It was the
smallest percentage loss for a down year since 1902. For the year, the Nasdaq
rose +1.5% and the S&P, +3% and the Russell, +3.3%.


It was a year in which value outperformed growth and emerging markets
outperformed developed markets.
