ETF Market Notes: Trade Four ETFs for Free with Schwab
The exchange-traded funds (ETFs) offered by Schwab may not be unique in and of themselves — and you have to be a Schwab customer in order to get the commission-free trades — but for ETF traders of all varieties, the new initiative by the “Talk To Chuck” people at Schwab will be worth watching to see if others brokerages follow suit. The mere idea of commission-free ETF trading marks a potentially exciting new development in the ETF market.

Schwab plans to release another set of ETFs in December including exchange-traded funds representing large-cap growth and value stocks, international small-cap and emerging markets.
