ETF Trading with Larry Connors: GDP, Irene and Ben Bernanke’s Big Speech

Locked, loaded and ready. This month’s GDP report along with Jackson Hole (second only to the Gettysburg Address) has assured many funds are hedged and/or holding high cash positions coming into the day.

Anyone guessing where today is going to go is really just making a “look at me statement” in case they’re correct. The only scenario that is obvious is high intraday volatility early on, and then volume subsiding the second half of the day as most of Wall Street exits early ahead of
Hurricane Irene.
