Here’s today’s best entries, no matter what the market does
From Tuesday morning’s post: “Once 2:15pm arrives, all retail traders’ eyes –
ears tune to Hampton Pearson on CNBC as the Fed’s verdict is read. Did they
raise rates or not, change the wording or not, whatever. If the initial news is
surprising, stock markets (and especially currencies & bonds) will take off
directionally. In the case of stock index markets, initial bursts usually
retrace 38% to 50% before heading off into their ultimate direction for the
afternoon.”
If you followed our pre-market instructions on
how to trade the FOMC news event yesterday, you made money. All indexes made one
initial move, retraced into resistance and dropped dead to session lows from
there. ES, MD, YM and NQ were actually textbook perfect, while ER failed sooner
and lower than other four symbols. Fast action, big profits… and predictable
profit results for those who have the knowledge & information to take advantage
of such.Â
ES (+$50 per index point)
S&P 500 has initial resistance near 1231 and
upper resistance near 1235. Any lift to 1231+ is a high-odds short.
MD (+$100 per index point)
S&P 400 is a short near 711.80 and should hold
714 on upside tests of this zone.
YM (+$5 per index point)
Dow Industrial futures are on sell signal near
10550 and should not breach 10580 if tested.
ER (+$100 per index point)
Russell 2000 futures are bearish at 665.50 and
not likely to breach 668.30 level.
{Price levels posted in charts above are
compiled from a number of different measurements. Over the course of time we
will see these varying levels magnetize = repel price action consistently}
Summation
Look to sell any lifts to 38% of yesterday’s swing and expect 62%
zones to hold. Breaks of those 62% zones would be quite bullish. We might not
see either swing value touched today, in which case our method signals confirmed
inside live market action will keep us on correct side of price action.
Today should have some continuation of
yesterday’s break, but an early plunge lower sets up latter-day squeeze back
toward price magnets posted in the charts above. As always, follow the
predictable patterns your method consists of, and take the signals with faith,
trust and impunity when issued.
