Interest Rates and Amazon Weigh On Stocks
Major indexes close down to
end the week; slide triggered by interest rate fears and poor Amazon earnings.
The jobs report showed a five-year low in
unemployment, fueling more fears that interest rates will be raised again during
Bernanke’s first Fed meeting in March.
Crude oil futures closed higher today after the IAEA
adjourned again, for the second straight day, without reaching a consensus on
the Iran nuclear crisis.
