Into the Five Diamond Classic!
Things went very well for me
yesterday as I managed to outlast a field of 478 players and parlay
my $1,570 entry fee into winning one of the 45 seats valued at $15,300, thereby
entering into the annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio. The
tournament is expected to have 500 people and a 7.5 million dollar prize pool
with first place taking in somewhere between $1.8-2.2 million, with it lasting
from Monday, December 12 to Friday, December 16. It was a tremendous field in a
day filled with a number of emotional highs and lows for me. With 200 people to
go I was in 15th place in chips and really taking control of my table picking up
a number of small pots and using my fold equity in the manner discussed in my
last Poker blog.
