Juniper Calls Jump; Stocks Soar
A weaker-than-expected June jobs report has sparked a broad-based stock rally
Friday that has moved the Nasdaq nearly 2% higher. The Dow and S&P 500 are
also showing solid gains of about 1.5% each.
At mid-day the VIX has decreased 1.54 to 22.66.
The OEX 800 calls are up 4 1/4 to 13 3/4.
Among bigger movers on heavier-than-average volume:
PowerRating) is up 9 11/16 to 150, as networking companies
take center stage. The Juniper August 190 calls are up 2 5/8 to 4 1/8 on triple
the average volume.
Banking is one of the day’s top sectors, and that has helped Bank of America
PowerRating) rise 1 11/16 to 47 1/2. The Bank of America July 45 calls have gained
7/8 to 3 1/8 on more than 4800 contracts.
Looking ahead, the consumer credit numbers for June will be released Monday
at 3:00 PM ET.
