My Best And Worst Market Calls For 2004

2004: My Best And My Worst

My best market calls…

Sell the SOX at 540 as well as the market in
January 04. The SOX bottomed at 350.

On Aug 19th, 3 days off the lows of the year, I
stated that it was the first time in months that technically, the market had a
chance and to start probing the market.

At 383, stating I was no longer bearish on the
SOX.

My worst calls…

I believed COMMODITIES had topped. Well, maybe for
a few days.

RETAILERS were toast. Within a few days, they
turned up furiously.

My best stock call on TV…

AK STEEL went up over 100% in 3 months. Who’s to
know a STEEL stock would do that?

My worst call on TV…

NOKIA…I will never touch that pig again…of
course until it breaks out again.

My best non-stock call on TV…

Bush will win by 3-5 points.

My worst non-stock call….

Iraq will be a breeze from here on out…duh! I
should have not debated Major Bob Bevalacqua.

Regardless of which we the market goes, we hope to
be just one day ahead of the important moves. You do not need to know where
the market will be at the end of ’05…no one knows. We believe you can stay
ahead of the game by interpreting what is going on right now. Should be a fun
year.
