, the company explores for and produces oil and gas primarily in the Gulf of Mexico and in western Canada, Ecuador, Malaysia, and the North Sea.

It has proved reserves of 178.2 million barrels of oil and 590.8 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Murphy Oil owns pipelines and 2 refineries in the U.S., and also owns a U.K. refinery.

It sells refined products in the U.S. through a network of 153 SPUR (wholesale) and 973 Murphy USA (retail) gas stations. Murphy Oil’s 389 U.K. stations operate primarily under the MURCO brand. Most of its U.S. retail stations are located in the parking lots of Wal-Mart stores.
