Palm Calls Higher; Stocks Mixed
Semiconductors and software are pushing the Nasdaq 1.6% higher Friday while
the Dow remains slightly in the red in a pre-holiday session that marks the end
of the second quarter. On the weaker side are the chemical and biotechnology
sectors.
At mid-day, the VIX has increased .59 to 22.61.
The OEX 790 calls are up 3/4 to 10 3/4.

The company announced better-than-expected earnings on Wednesday. The Palm
August 25 calls are up 2 5/8 to 7 3/4 on five times the average volume.

Mexican-related stocks continue to add to recent gains, and that has helped
send Telmex up 1 7/8 to 57 1/8. The Telmex July 60 calls are up 11/16 to 2 1/4
on quadruple the average volume.

session that closes at 1:00 PM ET.
