Soybeans Appear Breaking Down
Each evening we focus on the most interesting aspects for the upcoming trading day. The comments are based on observations of the nightly updates of the Futures and Market Bias pages. They are provided for educational purposes only and are not intended to be direct trading advice. Also, keep in mind that these remarks are made up to 12 hours in advance of the markets opening. Therefore, overnight events may alter the outcome of these observations.
November Soybeans [SX9>SX9], which have been on the Volatility Explosion List(s) for several days, appear to be breaking down (a) as volatility begins to revert to its mean (b). Look for a possible shorting opportunity here.
December Corn [CZ9>CZ9], mentioned over the past few nights, broke lower again today. Continue to look for a shorting opportunity here or better yet, wait for the next pullback from lows.
December Cocoa [CCZ9>CCZ9], on the Pullbacks off Highs List, has formed a cup and handle pattern an may be headed higher. Look for a buying opportunity here.
Best of luck with your trading on Monday!
Dave Landry
