These 3 Stocks Traded Up After Hours
Stocks sold off into the close after spending much
of the day in a trading range.
The trend thus far this year is for the indices to close on their lows and today
was no exception. Higher oil–at $49–didn’t help matters.
Twelve Dow stocks are reporting this week, as well
as 162 S&P stocks. Overall, 25% of the S&P companies are reporting in-line. It’s
a big week for pharmaceutical earnings, as LLY, SGP and AZN all report. Oil and
weather are in focus today; energy stocks are making new highs.
Of note: it is the first time since 1982 that the major indices all finished
lower in the first three weeks of the year.
