TradingMarkets Mid-Day Movers

This month TradingMarkets.com published new
research on what the month of December is likely to have in store for the
stock market. Our research, titled “
Will
December Be Up Or Down?
” showed some interesting results when comparing
all Decembers with those that have followed a market that is up after the first
11-months (as it is this year).

The major averages are mixed despite lots of activity related
to “Quadruple Witching” today (the quarterly expiry of stock index futures,
stock index options, stock options, and single stock futures), plus the S&P 500
and Nasdaq 100 rebalancing taking place after the close.

The Department of Commerce released the only economic news
today, which showed the Current Account Deficit narrowed unexpectedly in the
third quarter (report).

News
section for more headlines and analysis.

Treasuries are higher following the report and
the US Dollar is trading lower.

Energy prices are moving lower as warmer weather
is forecast for much of the US over the next 6-10 days.
