Early gains in the Dow and S&P 500
were erased by the negative sentiment being generated in technology.

The NASDAQ opened lower after disappointing third quarter guidance from Dell

after the close last night. Dell is currently trading lower by almost 8%,
setting a new 52-week low in the process.

Trading is somewhat subdued with traders reluctant to make big
bets due to today’s FOMC meeting. The FED is expected to raise interest rates
25bp for the 12th consecutive meeting, the announcement is expected at 2:15 PM
Eastern Time.

In today’s economic news; the ISM Manufacturing Index fell to
59.0 in October from 59.4 in September (report).
The Commerce Department reported that Construction Spending rose 0.5% in
September to a new all-time high (report).

The US Dollar Index is virtually unchanged, Treasuries are
slightly lower and Energy prices are mixed.
