What’s Up, What’s Down: Spotlight on Currencies

April 19, 2011 by Rick Alexander

Comments for April 19, 2011

Looking ahead to Tuesday by reflecting back on Monday’s trading

Futures and options trading is speculative in nature and involves substantial risk of loss. Futures and options trading is not suitable for all investors

SPOTLIGHT ON THE CURRENCIES

CURRENCIES: 4/19/11: Higher for the Japanese Yen and dollar index while lower for the Euro Fx,  Swiss Franc, British Pound, Aussie and Canadian Dollar. The euro and franc are still in uptrends overall with the Euro making its worst low and close since April 5th but now in a support area. The franc had a more quiet session settling lower but no change technically. The yen  had its best high and close since March 29th while now in a  strong looking resistance up to the 12200 area. The Canadian Dollar had a huge range making its worst low since March 31st and lowest close since April 5th but remaining in a strong uptrend overall. The pound also had a large range settling lower(lowest low since April 5th) still in an uptrend overall. The Aussie Dollar also settled lower but still looks very strong overall while the dollar had a sharp rally making its highest high and close since April 7th while now at the beginning of a resistance area. BUY SIGNALS FOR THE EURO FX, SWISS FRANC, CANADIAN DOLLAR AND AUSSIE DOLLAR. SELL SIGNALS FOR THE JAPANESE YEN AND DOLLAR INDEX. CALL FOR DETAILS!
