WorldCom Calls Rise; Stocks Mixed

Stocks have kicked off the new week with a mixed performance, as the Dow has
risen and the Nasdaq has drifted lower. Oil services are the day’s top sector
while semiconductors are the weakest.
At mid-day, the VIX is up .72 to 25.47.
The OEX February 720 calls are down .30 to 4.90.
Among bigger movers on heavier-than-average volume:
PowerRating) has re-ignited and is currently up 1 1/8 to 21 3/16. The
WorldCom February 20 calls are up 5/8 to 1 15/16 on more than 2000 contracts.
PowerRating) is under pressure and is off 4 1/8 to 21 while the
PPRO February 22 1/2 puts are up 1 3/8 to 3 on more than quadruple average
PowerRating) is down 1 5/8 to 33 15/16 as tech remains weak. The Cisco
February 35 puts are up 3/4 to 2 7/8 on more than 7000 contracts.
PowerRating) is down .49 to 54.15 while the J.P. Morgan February 55
calls have lost .40 to 1.30 on heavier-than-average volume.
